A Financial Therapy Group Built for Therapists (By a Therapist)

8 Weeks to Clarity, Confidence, and a Values-Aligned Private Practice

You trained to be a therapist, not an accountant.

If you’re like most therapists, you’ve spent years learning how to hold space for others, but almost no time learning how to run a business.

You’re not alone. Most of us enter the therapy field with a heart to serve and a complicated mix of emotions-anxiety, avoidance, even shame- when it comes to business finances.

That ends here.

Introducing:
The Financial Therapy Group for Therapists

An 8-week guided experience designed to help you understand the internal narratives, emotions, and values that shape your financial decisions, so you can build a practice that feels sustainable emotionally and financially.

Program Details:

8 Weeks | Weekly Live Group Sessions

Dates: Wednesdays,  Sept. 17 through Nov. 5

Time: 4:30-6 PM

Where: In person at Moxie Wellness in Overland Park

What you get:

  • Reflective worksheets & guided exercises

  • Exploration of different financial strategies (without the pressure to “pick one way”)

  • Supportive feedback and guidance from a therapist who understands your world

  • Q&A time to discuss your unique challenges

  • Small group format for connection and personalized attention

This isn’t just another course where you absorb information and then try to figure it out later.

This is therapy-informed, experiential work in which you explore, reflect, and apply insights in real-time with support.

Each week, you’ll deepen your understanding of:

  • How your money beliefs show up in your practice decisions

  • Strategies and systems that align with your unique values and business needs

  • Practical tools that support - not dictate - your relationship with money

  • Your business values and how to align your spending accordingly

  • And finally, how to pay yourself like the professional you are

You won’t be given a one-size-fits-all budget to follow. Instead, you’ll explore different frameworks and reflect on what truly fits you.

Led by a licensed therapist specializing in financial wellness, this group is designed for helpers who are ready to stop avoiding their money and start feeling confident about it.

What You’ll Learn (And Do)

Your Financial Framework
Unpack the beliefs, patterns, and anxieties you bring into your business and learn how to replace them with clarity and intention.

Budgeting That Works for Therapists
We’ll explore tools like YNAB (You Need a Budget) and Profit First, not to prescribe a system, but to help you find a method that feels sustainable for your income flow, your values, and your life.

Define Your Business Values
No more running your business on default mode. You’ll make money decisions rooted in what matters most, whether that’s time freedom, impact, stability, or growth.

Taxes, Surprise Expenses, and the Reality of Being a Business Owner
Instead of dreading the unknowns, you’ll create a rhythm for managing your money that feels grounding and clear. It’s about reducing emotional labor, not just organizing accounts.

Week by Week, You Build the Foundation

By the end of 8 weeks, your finances won’t just make more sense, you’ll have a deeper understanding of how your relationship with money shows up in your practice and you’ll have the tools to respond with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

No more shaming yourself into spreadsheets.

You’ll walk away with a rhythm that honors both your emotional well-being and your business needs.

This Group Is For You If:

  • You’re newly licensed and feeling overwhelmed about your finances

  • You’re starting or running a private practice and feel like you’re “winging it”

  • You avoid money because it feels confusing, shameful, or just too hard

  • You’re ready to explore your worth and feel empowered to be paid fairly

  • You crave supportive structure—not just information, but space to process and apply it

You became a therapist to help people.

Let’s make sure your business supports you, too.

Your finances don’t have to feel like a source of stress or avoidance.

With the right support, it can become an area of clarity and confidence.
